Story Outline

FRAME 1 - Surrounding area set up
FRAME 2 - Boy heading towards the door
FRAME 3 - Main boy walking with headphones in
FRAME 4 - Boy stops him
FRAME 5 - We see him becoming friendly with them and sitting in a group with them
FRAME 6 - Him looking on a phone at gang fights
FRAME 7 - We see him being rude to his mum
FRAME 8 - Phone call to brother
FRAME 9 - Aggressive messages and online related to both groups
FRAME 10 - Packs a knife in bag
FRAME 11 - He goes to get onto bike
FRAME 12 - We see they are heading towards another group
FRAME 13 - Main two boys face to face
FRAME 14 - His reaction looks shocked and scared
FRAME 15 - Knife covered in blood
FRAME 16 - Left by himself
FRAME 17 - Zooms into blood on the floor
FRAME 18 - Police tape
FRAME 19 - Handcuffs next to car door
FRAME 20 - We see him walking past the same area at the end



The story will be narrated by a person, this person will be the boy who is carrying around a knife and eventually the boy who ends up stuck in a gang and he is the one that ends up getting involved with knife crime. He will sound upset and we will learn his discussion at the end will be regretful .
Voice over explaining his life - 

We see that at the beginning music will play and he is walking around we then see that there will be a title page saying the name of the film followed by still of the surrounding area and then we will see him walking with his headphones in 

We will then see he is stopped by a group of boys, they say hows your brother and talk about how he is in prison, they say if he ever needs any help or is in trouble to let them know

Voice over explaining where the story led him next

We see that he is having trouble making friends and he is struggling being part of a group, We then see that he approaches the gang and talks bout spending more time with them

Voice over explaining about his mum and his brother 

he has to hide it from his mum as they talk about the same group that his brother was involved in 

We see that he is becoming a lot more violent and doing things that he would normally, 

we see that the group plan to fight and we hear of a rival group 

Voice over explains that he didn't know what to do and who he was becoming 

The group encourage him to fight and he ends up packing a knife

This leads to them fighting, everyone is just using fist and fighting and then he pulls out a knife and stabs one of the boys 

Voice over - he explains he was upset and he didn't know what he was doing and that it changed his life forever.

After this scene we see police sirens and blue lights as he police arrive 

We see that the group almost leave him till he is by himself and that he has no choice but to be left and give himself in we then see that it just zooms into the knife 

Voice over - explains what happened to him and the consequences that he had

We see that he there is a police tape and that he got time in prison and that he walks past the same place everyday

Location Scouting

There are many considerations that I need to take when thinking about the location for the short film. The location of the film is important as it can show much more than we think including the social status and genre which is trying to be conveyed.  My short film is based on knife crime, this means that I would like the location to be set in a urban environment. I would like there to be high rise or council house building which are rough looking. I would like to find an area which is grubby and rough looking. This will allow me to correctly convey my story line .  I have shot two locations to see what will be best and what works most with my story line and the stills that I will have to capture. I have chosen to shot a majority of the outdoor shots in Bracknell and have selected two spots to shoot at. For the inside shots I will be using a friends kitchen which I think will have the right look for the stills and the story.  Location 1 -...

Short Film Analysis

Short Film Analysis I am going to be analysing two short stories that have a relevance to mine. I have searched two short films that involve knife crime and typically that of teenage knife crime. Both of the stories have a moral to the story to all of the audience which I would like to influence my work.  Film One - 'One life, Many victims' -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FvC884FdpqM (5 mins) PLOT- The film begins with the main character named Mark. The only noise able to be heard is his music in his headphones. It then leads to his mum walking in, she says that she is going out. She says "Be safe and don't come home too late".
